Hiya Loonies.. Another story of a Falklands veteran... Wishes & Dreams... - ANDREA xx ************<andrea@bloodaxe.demon.co.uk>************ ******************<ajc6@ukc.ac.uk>******************* *** *** *** THE LOONY BIN *** *** loonies@bloodaxe.demon.co.uk *** *** *** ******************Internet Goddess******************* *********************ANDROMEDA*********************** ------- Forwarded foolishness follows ------- Several years ago, Margaret Thatcher and her husband, Denis, were walking through Hyde Park in London, when they spotted a disheveled, unshaven, hungry looking man without a leg wearing the remains of an army uniform. In front of him was a tin cup and a sign saying "Falklands Veteran - Please Help!". Maggie turned to Denis and said, "Really, we must help that poor man." So Denis reached into his pocket and pulled out some coins, but Maggie stopped him. "Denis, I was PM at the time, we really owe him more than just a few coins." At that she dug into her purse, pulled out a ten pound note and handed it to Denis. Denis then walked over to the ex-soldier and handed it to him. The veteran looked down at the ten pound note, broke into a beaming smile and exclaimed, "Ahh! Gracias, senor!!"
