Us Brits' on the other hand, aren't quite so imaginative. For example the Yanks called it WINDOWS, If we'd got our way we probably would have called it a... Variable frames accommodating visually descriptive applications embedded in a graphical user interface ...and the MOUSE probably would be referred to as a... Pointer situation revision peripheral -STICKYKEYS- Funtion key operation prolongation system -CLIPBOARD- Transient data cache domain -DOS-PROMPT- Disk Operating System command entry commencement signal -WYSIWYG- Visual interpretation of editing environment comparable to output of paper reproduction system
